— Cheers, Cheerio Cheers
Just another home for my deep and abiding love for Sam and Diane and Cheers.
All images and gifs are by me unless they were reblogged or submitted. I'm happy to share, but please reblog rather than copying. Thanks!
Warning: There are Cheers spoilers a-plenty below. If you're watching for the first time and wish to remain untainted, this ain't the blog for you.

After watching Sam’s beer commercial…
Sam: Come on, admit it, I was good. Hey, come on, say it! I was good!
Diane: You were okay.
Sam: I wasn’t okay, I was good. What it’s gonna do, kill you to admit that I was good?
Diane: Alright. You were g—… g—…
Sam: (squeezes her face to form the word) Good. Good. (slaps her on the back to unstick the word)
Diane: You were okay. (smiles) You were good.

“The fact remains that no matter what the cost, a ring is above all else, a symbol of the feelings that two people have for each other. So truly Sam, this is the ring I want.”

Diane glances over at Woody and a young woman at the bar.
Diane: Look, Sam… Could we be in on the inception of a budding romance?

Have you tweeted/e-mailed about your love of Cheers today? Told anyone how happy a 30th Anniversary reunion event would make you? Well, here are some folks who might be interested to hear about those feelings:
J. Max Robins, vice president and executive director of The Paley Center for Media’s Industry Programs - mrobins@paleycenter.org
Ron Simon, curator - rsimon@paleycenter.org
David Bushman, curator - dbushman@paleycenter.org
Rebecca Paller, associate curator - rpaller@paleycenter.org
Barry Monush, researcher - bmonush@paleycenter.org
Arthur Smith, researcher - asmith@paleycenter.org
I’ve also got a list of Paley contacts handles on my Twitter (@SamandDiane) for those who prefer to tweet. (hash: #Cheers30, #Cheersiversary)
David Bushman was nice enough to let us know he’d look into doing an event at the Paley Center (an excellent host for such things!), but it certainly wouldn’t hurt to give him and others your kind and very polite encouragement to make it happen.
9/30/12 will be here before we know it— we need to show our love and interest now.

Carla: Boy, this party stinks.
Diane: (to Sam) Well, maybe we should do something to help pick it up, huh?
Sam: I got an idea. Listen, why don’t you go back to my office… uh… top drawer of my desk, you’ll find two tassels and a g-string. I’ll hum Night Train…
